This is a publicity photo for a the Boston Light Opera's
production of "Pirates of Penzance". Jean played one of the
pirates in the chorus: Jean was the "Arabian" pirate.
The show ran for six weeks. In the story line, all the
pirates were actually bored English noblemen *playing* pirate.
One stage bit was for the Russian pirate (on the right) to try
to do a Cossack dance, and fall on his rear end. Late in the
run of the show (when the cast members were starting to get
a little rambuctious), they substituted Jean doing a belly dance
instead. (The director was not amused, when she found out.)
